Wilson markets over 300,000 tons of product a year. Over 75% of this is co-product material out of industry. Wilson markets these products evenly back into industry and agriculture. Although the producers Wilson represents are all over the United States and Canada, the management of the material movement is don in the main office at Brook, Indiana. Inventories are managed and watched on a daily basis by the product manager, and the customer service representitive for that product stream, as well as by the sales manager for that Product. Budgets and projections are done semi-annually for the next 18 months to ensure that adequate marketing is done and all product is sold. This is done to receive top dollar for all product moved. Wilson is constantly trying to improve the netback and profit for each producer. As Wilson markets 90% of the product they represent on a percentage it is a win/win situation for all. Wilson has managed to increase the revenue received by the producer on all product streams represented and taken the work and worry out of it for the producer.
